Darimo T1 Loop Seatpost? anyone tried this?

looking for a new seatpost, I stumbled across this.

this looks freaking awesome to me.

but a 100g seatpost is kinda scary…I see similar ones (Enve BlackInc, FSA) are ~200 grams. I guess a big part of it is no clamps.

just wondering if anyone has used this? how’d the dynema loops hold up? did your saddle stay put or did you have to re-adjust it?

If you’re worried about strength/durability, you could always go for something like the Roval Alpinist 27.2mm seat post. Not quite as light, but still lighter than most others, and tested on road and gravel bikes (Specialized spec’s it on their S Works Crux, as well as the Aethos). I have one on my Crux, and though I have admittedly only ridden it a few times on gravel, it’s been fine.

I had a super light post made by Loaded Precision a few years back…it used a similar clamp method with the dowel piercing the post but used ti bolts instead of the carbon(?) Thread. That saddle would creak and squeak and would never stay put no matter what I did.

had it for about 3 years on my race specific MTB, without any issue, or ever need to re-adjust
