I have them and they’re great!

I’m going on vacation to Stockholm/Copenhagen. Is there anything worth picking up that I can’t find easily here in the US? No frames/wheelsets  .

If you’re in the market for carbon drop bars, Prime makes some nice stuff that is at a great price. Unfortunately they are a house brand of Wiggle / Chain Reaction, so you can’t get them in the US anymore.

I have the Orra Aero Carbon and it’s awesome. Very comfortable, nice flare and great shape.

I love both Stockholm and Copenhagen, but if you’re going from the US, be ready for sticker shock, especially in Copenhagen.

Fair enough. Anything to look out for that’s just not available in the US?

For $25, that Enve jacket is a steal. Only available in Small size now, all others have run out.

You can find savings on lots of stuff… minimum advertised price (MAP) is illegal in the EU because it’s considered price fixing, so some stuff is basically half off, just have R2-bike or Bike-Discount ship to your hotel. Plus you can get VAT refunds if you keep the receipts and get a customs stamp. I’m consistently ordering tires and DT Swiss hubs from the EU, some other hubs are cheap as well.

As for stuff you flat out can’t get here, Lambda Racing doesn’t ship to the US, so I had them ship some carbon bars to my hotel in CPH last fall.

FWIW I read that Prime handlebars are made by Controltech or that they use the same manufacturer (not sure if this is true). You can find them under the latter brand in the US but at a higher price.

I’ve heard great things about Koryak handlebars and to me they look very very nice. I’d definitely look into one of those while in Europe.
Also, nice coffee, beers and pastries.

All the sizes but small were sold out with 24 hours of it being posted.

Super surprising. I feel like small/medium are always out first for their clothes. Maybe they had a lot of extra inventory in small.

When I travel, I just look for the things I can’t find in the US, like helmet and shoe brands. I’m picky, so I like to try stuff on before I buy it. I’m dying to get to a Decathlon so I can check out the new Van Rysel bikes. Also, things like Time frames.

I’m wanting Van Rysel in the US too!

HJC helmets…

Be warned enve long sleeve clothing are insanely short and the QC is awful. I got 3 of the same t shirts of them and are completely different. They dont even seem to be made from same materials. For the prices it still seems expensive based on everything i bought from them

big sales at https://planetcyclery.com/ and https://www.coloradocyclist.com/
“closing sale”

i always look monthly at bikecyclery closeout/clearance items

Anything worth sharing?

Up-to-40 doesn’t really move me to click when between Competitive Cyclist, BikeTiresDirect, etc., you can almost always find everything at minimum 20%.

I’m watching the price of the giro aries, but 20% isn’t gonna cut it
