I used Spesh Turbo Cottons and then tried TLR tires and they were a nightmare to fit with tubes.
Are they other tires than Turbo Cottons that fit as relatively as they do?

On my old pair, fitting conti’s was a nightmare. I set the tires in the sun or put them in a slightly warm oven. Mounted them with soap and water so they would slide over the rim. I mounted them 1 time without the tube. Removed them then remounted with tube.
Maybe this will help if nobody comes up with easy to mount tires.
Ugh, yeah sounds familiar. I’m thinking I’ll just go for Hell of the Norths even if they’re not quite the fastest. So much easier to live with.
I initially found it near-impossible to mount GP5000s on these wheels but after talking to a few people working in bike shops I figured out the secret – for this wheel as well as other challenging wheel/tire combos. The key is to get the part of the tire on the opposite side to where you’re working DEEP in the middle of the wheel’s center channel. If it is sitting toward the outside of the wheel it will be higher and thus tighter. Before I felt like I was about to break something. Now I can almost always do it with just by hands, or sometimes I just do a quick slide of the tire lever. It will take some practice but you can do it!
This is the answer
I have a pair and use Gp5k 28s on them with no issues. Generally use a tire lever on the front wheel as it’s a bit harder to mount than the rear but if you make sure to seat the tire into the middle of the cutout it’s not that difficult.
Are those GP5ks that are the slightly older, non-TLR version?
What I mentioned works for both. It even works for Challenge Criterium RS tires which are generally even more difficult to mount than the TLR GP5000.
I have run 3 versions of the gp5ks. The very first tubeless iteration (gp5kTL), those were almost impossible to fit on anything. Gp5k str and gp5k, the str and non tubeless ones are both reasonably easy to mount on my rovals.
