Yes, I know for even thinking, let alone asking the question, my bikes should be taken away, but due to recovery from hip surgery, my Dr has said no clipping into pedals for 3 months. So I can not ride (just kill me) or find some road flats.
I can find flats for my MTB no issue, but I’m having an issue finding some for the road bike. yes, I can use the same ones, but I don’t know if someone knew of road specif flats.
My Dr is a rider as well and apologized after me told me.
There are plenty of very light MTB flats out there, but you can also get pedals that are flat one side and MTB SPD clip the other. You might be able to use SPD clips because they have way more float/movement that road clips, which will be better on the hips.
Get these platforms. They work well and clip into spd sl pedals. I think they have a keo version. I put these in for commuting but should work for your purposes too
