Today I was doing a workout on my Elite Suito trainer and my favero assimo pedals…the cadence was fluctuating a bit for the first 10 to 15 minutes or so…any idea why this is the case?
Can you share a screenshot or link to the TR workout (if you account is public)? Hard to know without more specific info.
It’s jumping say 85 to 95 to 87 to 100…I generally keep in the mid 90’s… after some time it settles down…I don’t think it’s long enough to see on the graph
It may require an email to support at TR or Favero, with a workout file attached. Aside from making sure the pedals are fully charged, I don’t know what else could be the issue without a deeper dive.
No worries…I may try to recalibrate the pedals before my next workout and see what happens.
Thanks
I wouldn’t expect calibration to alter cadence since it is mainly about setting the zero point for load on the strain gauges, but who knows?
I suppose nothing ventured and all that
Hey @Brian_Nicholson1 !
I suspect this is a connection issue. It looks like the power source for this ride was your trainer. If the connection to your power meter was stable, we would have prioritised power from your pedals.
First, can you double check that your power meter is paired to the TrainerRoad app?
For a refresher on pairing your devices, check out this article:
How to Pair Your Devices.
Then, let’s make sure that PowerMatch is enabled.
Once your power meter is paired, there are a couple of things we can do to strengthen the conncetion between your power meter and the TrainerRoad app.
It looks like you are pairing your devices via Bluetooth. Blueooth does generally offer a stronger connection but you’ll want to make sure that your devices are paired to the TrainerRoad app only. Make sure your power meter is not paired to any other app or device.
If you think your battery is low, go ahead and replace it to see if the connection improves.
Give those steps a shot and let us know if it improves. If you have questions, give us a shout!
Hello Sarah,
Thank you for this email reply.
I can confirm that I pair the trainer and my heart rate monitor to the app but I think you may have hit the nail on the head…I don’t think I had my pedals paired with trainer road.
I will make sure the next workout and let you know.
Many thanks
Brian.
