I’ve slid out quite a few times on corners over the years, I admit, most probably due to poor technique, and it’s shaken me up to the point where I have ruined dozens of races for myself by being too conservative.
One thing that hasn’t been discussed too much in this thread are techniques to tune down those survival reactions, lose that fear of speed, and build up that confidence.
Having seen Pidcock’s descent on the Col du Galibier, it’s inspired me to really try and work on this part of my riding.
