How to service a Tacx Flux?

So I jumped on the turbo the other day after a couple of weeks off, and instantly noticed it was more difficult than it should have been.
I usually have headphones on so can’t be sure, but seems as though there’s a new noise, kind of like riding with the brakes on. I struggled at 100w through a warmup and tried to recalibrate but could barely hit the 32kph target.
I abandoned the workout and used a free ride 60, and noticed it got significantly easier after about half an hour, and I was pushing 150w easily. (My aim was zone 1 or 2 easy hour).
After the workout my trainer creaked to a stop but the rubbing sound had all but gone.

Could this be due to the recent super cold uk weather now I’ve got my trainer outside? Or do I potentially need to open up the casing and lube something?

Looking back, my ftp has been automatically reduced by a fair margin over the last couple of months and I can’t help but think it might be a trainer issue. It’s a Tacx Flux from a few years back, not the flux s or flux 2

“How to service a Tacx Flux?”

Just to clarify, are highly sarcastic answers allowed?

Steady on guys :joy: I’ve had this for about 5 years and had zero issues - I’d rather fix it if possible! But……you know what you’re talking about

@AdamJ

The one and only reason I joined Facebook was to access the user group on there.

Lots of informed insight with one guy actually making spare parts.
