Timing may have to do with when they officially opened it (Sep 18 per the Welcome topic) vs announced on the podcast maybe a bit later?

Would maybe explain a large influx on a given day after the doors opened.

I had my cake yesterday (26th) and noticed a few others so was wondering the same. Checking my email it looks like on 9/27 they sent out an email announcing the forum, bet that got a wave of people.

Happy B-Day TR Forum! I think TR was on FB before this forum came around. I appreciate all the ways TR puts up with the lot of us.

  • Yup, that existed for quite a while prior to the forum (year or more IIRC?).

  • Nate correctly recognized the pitfalls within FB Groups and floated a trial balloon of creating and migrating to a forum. His poll in the FB group was rather negative about it at first (I lobbied hard for a forum BC FB is a mess for stuff like this), but thankfully Nate pushed forward with the idea despite some skepticism and we got this great place at the end. :smiley:

  • That FB group still exists but TR seemingly dropped any real monitoring there since it is infested with spammers and BS posts. I finally left the group as a result, despite still having some people using it over the forum for some reason.
