I train intervals 3 times a week on TR AI FTP building plan and one outdoor group ride when i hide in the wheels with guys that are all much stronger . I would like to add strength training to my program and wondered if TR is capable of integrating this
It depends on what you mean by “integrate”.
Red Light Green Light can account for the stress of strength training and adjust your planned workouts downward when necessary to accommodate the increased stress and fatigue.
When making a new plan, plan builder will not incorporate new, or plan around existing, strength workouts.
When you’ve increased strength, AIFTP and progression levels will not anticipate increased time to exhaustion until it’s evident through rides and post-ride surveys.
TrainerRoad is a cycling platform, and every other sport that has the slightest bit of presence (swim, run, strength) gets about 5% of the functionality that cycling gets.
Hey @KingGeorge, welcome to the forum!
We’ve done a lot of work to help integrate strength training alongside several other non-cycling activities into TR.
You now have the ability to add planned and completed strength sessions with working sets to your calendar, and we will adapt your upcoming bike workouts based on the accrued stress from those strength sessions.
Here are a couple of Help Center Articles that might help explain this further.
