Same height, just got fitted and he brought the saddle super high, like 840 mm. Like it so far.
What size is your frame? It looks a little smaller than mine.
It’s an XL
And they’re a nuisance! Took on one of the local ranges and had that reaffirming knowledge I had the salvation of that sweet 28 tooth … nope! Every time I switched into it the chain just skipped and went back to my previous gear. Had no idea what it was but I had to power up these ranges without my easiest gear. Must’ve went over a rough bump on the way out there but when I rendezvoused at the bottom I saw the spoke protector had wiggled it’s way loose. Cut it off then and there
Nice matchy matchy with the bar tape to the frame accents!
My recently completed Shiv in training mode (heavy PowerTap wheels, Gatorskins, saddle bag, rear flasher).
I need to get some pics in race mode with the BTA (ditch the seat tube bottle), race wheels (Bontrager Aeolus 5 Comp wheels with R3 25c tires), power pedals (PowerTap P1).
You need to show up to your next ‘C’ race with your training setup. Such a beautiful bike with such ugly wheels You’ll turn some heads for sure.
LOL, it’s a bit of a dog for sure with that setup. Still rides well despite the porky weight and un-aero.
But the feel (and look) is much better with the race setup for sure
What rear light is that Chad? Specifically the aero seat post clamp .
The 2nd generation Bontrager Flare R. I have a few and use one for every ride outside.
I used the stock reflector mount from Specialized. I found a reflector that had the slip-on mount, and used the threaded brass nut in the light mount through the reflector bracket. Partly bodged, but works well.
Edit to add a stock pic (from a Trek Speed Concept version, but the Shiv one is similar) of the main mount:
what is the aerobar set up? I have a P3 and want to change up my aero bars a bit like yours.
I posted this in the alluminati thread but I should probably post in my Caad10 Franken-TT bike here.
Zipp Stealth basebar, 50° USE extensions angled down to 45° with backstopped and wedged Wattshop cups. Went with this high hands set up to accommodate an injured shoulder, (T-boned a car when it pulled out in front of me at 45km/h). Since gone back to lower hands. The high hands, while great head on, seemed to siphoned speed off when the yaw opened up.
Thanks. Ever since I saw Lucy Charles setup and IM Kona Ive been intrigued.
I often feel I need a bit maybe 15% incline in my bars to make me more comfortable
15% on the forearms is good, sort of the tipping point.
