Let's see your paincave!

I like how you repurposed old text books as a front wheel riser.

 Good eye! Planned on making one out of scrap wood, but this works perfectly fine.

This is awesome! Now that’s what we mean by paincave!

Here is my Little Cave of Power V 2.0. (LCP) I moved it to an unfinished part of the basement – it is cooler here and there is no need to tear it apart when guests come. However, it will be more of a pain when the LCP goes on the road. I’m planning to hang a TV and blast the WOTD to the TV and hang my 3rd Place Hinterlands CX Series trophy along with a thermometer, and that Philippines banner you see draped over the chair. The plan is to finish this section off and make this a workshop (where the LCP will continue to reside). Yes, you can see my Tarmac SL7 in dormancy.

Just have to ask: why the extra mat under the kickr bike?

Is there anyway to clean the blades for the Kickr fans? With dogs and dust allergies, that is the one thing that is keeping me from getting one.

Looks like maybe Engineering Thermodynamics … Seems an appropriate foundation for a place where @wjc0005 will be doing so much work.

I have a similar setup with dual Killer Headwind units up front tied to heart rate. What I found with the Wahoo desk up high where yours is, the fans mostly blow on your legs and very little air gets to your head. I dropped the desk down to below the shifters, and moved the fans back which allowed them to hit me in the face and provide much better cooling. I then added 2 Lasko fans, one for the rear that hits my lower back and causes air to roll up the back, and one between the headwind units to cool the legs and groin area (since the Lasko fans are adjustable they are a nice addition) Maybe overkill, but for me it makes it much better.

As to the extra mat, I have that also, and it is useful for catching the wax off the chain and sweat, and much easier to clean than the large gym floor pads

Great tip on the fan and desk positioning. Same reasoning for second mat, sweat and oil, easy cleaning vs. gym weights mat.

Yep, thermo. I thought the bottom one was heat transfer… but turns out it’s differential equations. Damn.

This is my basement pain cave. It’s come a long way since the beginning, mostly due to some flooding issues that allowed for a lot of upgrades! I’m really happy with it’s current status, going to do a bit more decorating.

The floor treatment is sweet. Pulled epoxy type?

Epoxy floor out of black and white, they just poured it on and swirled it around. Some places they splashed it too. It’s pretty unique!

Looks great. We are in process of doing some concrete finish work here so it caught my eye.

Thank you !! Its the Rubbermaid Fast track system w/ the wheels on bike hooks that I had. Its pretty handy. It is a 48 inch track that I have screwed into the wall and the hooks fasten to the track. They can be found at Home Depot, Lowe’s or on Amazon.
