Hi everyone,
apparently the LifeFitness IC7 bike supports Bluetooth and ANT+. However, I was not able to connect with an Android Tablet. TrainerRoad showed both active, but not deviced were found.
Any experiences?`

The only way I’ve found to work is to Download the ICG app and if you’re using TrainerRoad then add the TSS manually.
Not sure you can connect TR with the ICG bike directly. I even contacted the ICG support once but they didn’t respond. Maybe try to contact them and they may answer you. If you get anymore info then I’d be interested in hearing what they say.
The app I use so I don’t have to put my data in each time.
Thanks. What do you mean by add TSS manually?
So far I just used the FTP test on the bike to add into TrainerRoad.
Oh ok. You’re only using the ICG bike to train?
I mean I have my FTP set correct on the bike (although I find there to be a slight difference to the power meter on my road bike) and the TSS that I generate on the ICG bike I add to my planned workout in my calendar.
I also use a Garmin FÄ“nix to record my heart rate. This also means at least something imports into TR and I just add the TSS to this. Unfortunately nothing else (calories, IF, etc.) can be edited at the moment.
Hope this all makes sense :-))
Okay. My question would be how do you add the TSS from the bike to your TrainerRoad? I cant find a manual edit mode besides FTP.
I contacted the manufacturer. They said if the IC7 bike has 5 buttons, then it sends via ANT+ and they say it works with Zwift and Strava. However they dont know about TrainerRoad. Thats all they had for me.
If you have a ride without a power source, it should have an icon that says “Estimate Power” when you look at that ride on your Calendar.
Click that little icon, and then select “Custom” for intensity and manually enter your TSS from the ICG Bike
Another thing I’d like to mention is that if the IC7 is BT and ANT+ compatible, you should be able to get it to pair with your Android tablet.
I would recommend reaching out to our Support Team at support@trainerroad.com so that they can walk you through the troubleshooting steps
So, when I do a ride on TrainerRoad, but have not power conected, it will show up like this:
Then I can only edit FTP, but not TSS:
What am I missing?

Hey Sina!
You are currently viewing TrainerRoad from the Web, not the App. We have a web-based landing page that allows for planning and analyzing your workouts, however, all rides need to be completed from the app. The App has the ability to pair your sensors and start a ride, while the Web does not.
You can download the app here:
After downloading, you will want to use the Devices Tab on the right side of the app to pair your trainer.
If you have any questions on pairing your trainer, our Support Team would be happy to help you through any questions you may have You can reach them at support@trainerroad.com.
Here is the way that I added a recent planet fitness workout to my TR calendar…

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to edit the TSS of a ride manually at this time. What you can do, however, is add a manual entry ride that adds the offset TSS needed. Here’s how you can do that:
Sorry about the somewhat clunky workaround, we may revisit the possibility of adding functionality here in the future.
Cheers!
It appears to me that the answer is a simple no. Although this device is available and can be paired in the app it will not display power and cadence data. This is unfortunate as the HYATT chain of hotels (basically where I live) have this bike available.
There is a work-around for some exercise bikes that spit out power data. A quick google search shows that this may be an option - qdosmyos. It’s an app that allows you to connect echelon/schwinn/other spin bikes to zwift/trainerroad. Basically takes the proprietary information the bike is spitting out and converts it into something that TR can read. You can read more here.
I don’t have any personal experience using the app but have considered using it as we have a spin bike at home that both my wife (for peloton) and I (for TR) use.
There’s an IC7 and an IC8 bike at work, and I believe both broadcast power through ANT+. I’m not going to the office these days, but used to connect my wahoo element to the trainer, and would get power numbers.
You could probably try a ANT to BLE “converter” if using TR on an iOS device (no ANT).

It works for me like a charme …
