Lightweight Aero disc wheelset

Hey all, building a lightweight Canyon Ultimate bike currently but need help picking a wheel set.

I’m trying to decide between Cadex 50 Ultra wheels or the new ENVE SES 4.5 wheels. Are there any others I’m missing that I should consider?

Thanks

There are plenty more options.

  • What is your budget?
  • How deep do you want the wheels to be?
  • Do you have a preference when it comes to hubs?

The wheels you picked are pricy, and there are other quality manufacturers that make similar rims, e. g. Zipp 303 or 3T Discus C45|32 to name two other choices at random. But there are also cheaper ones that have the same depth, Enve’s 45s come to mind.

  • Budget 3-3.5k USD max
  • No deeper than 50mm. I am going to use these as an all around race wheel and training. I do a fair share of climbing, usually minimum of 2k elevation on “flat recovery rides” to give you an idea of my hilly geography. Trying to keep the build light but gain in aero
  • No preference in hubs aside from unnecessary weight
