I use a TACX 2. I have never had this before. But three times in the past 3 weeks during the ride the timer stops and the power stays the same even if I stop pedalling. Anyone with tips?
Hey there,
Sorry to hear about the trouble.
What device are you using to run TR? A simple starting point would be to try restarting your device if it’s been a while.
It’s also good practice to close out of any background apps that you aren’t using while you are running TR for your workouts.
I’ll report this incident to our bug-hunting team as well so we can investigate what might be going on here. I’ll report back with any tips they may have!
And, in instances like this, always feel free to reach out to support@trainerroad.com so our super support team can help out.
Alrighty, the bug-hunting team got back to me and confirmed that this is a bug you’re experiencing. We’re working on fixing it, but, in the meantime, it looks like this bug is caused by device dropouts/Bluetooth interference.
We checked out your device logs, and it seems like something else (another laptop/tablet/phone) may be trying to connect to your Tacx trainer. If you have other devices nearby that have Bluetooth turned on and aren’t actively using them while running TR with your Tacx trainer, we recommend turning Bluetooth off those devices.
It’s also worth checking the Bluetooth settings of the device you are using to run TR. Sometimes, trainers will connect to your device via Bluetooth directly rather than through the TR app. This can also cause connectivity issues and dropouts. You can check to see if this is the case by going to your device’s Bluetooth settings page and seeing if your trainer is connecting there. If so, go ahead and disconnect it, and then try reconnecting your trainer to the TR app.

Thanks for getting back to me. This is great service. Getting a Wahoo smart bike soon. Loving Trainer Road, even if it is really stretching me for the first time in decades.
