Three hours of Disaster is nothing to sneeze at, especially if it’s your first 2+ hour ride. Nice work!

I think it’s cumulative fatigue - I’ve been shifting large amounts of stone as part of my job (dry stone waller) . Done much longer outdoor rides but at much lower percentage of FTP, normalised power was 75% of FTP for the three hours.

Was dual-recording The Über Pretzel in Zwift :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Done - albeit a day behind. Saturday was too much. Family asking too much of me. Doing this early morning would put me on the back burner for the whole day.
Its not easy. On low volume base phase and half way through the second block. Is it wise to do Spencer +2 tomorrow  ?
Need to get back into it. It could be a delay. Germany is going back into lock down :frowning:

Thanks to @mcneese.chad and @zwillis1 much appreciated for your help. You are nice people. Really nice. Have a great day and wonderful christmas…

ps the sprints were crap. doing it on sportcrafters roller is hard.

Proper job fitting it in!

Got it done a day late because of commitments. Was easier to do mentally by breaking the ride down into sections. The worst part was the fireworks; didn’t have much for the sprints, but doing the following intervals was hard. But it was a good way to end a hard week; had a TSS of 739.

A little late to the party, but “Disaster 2020” is now in the books and I’m still alive

The first 2 hours were okay, but the VO2max intervals really got me and I was just holding on for dear life for the next hour. SS was challenging and I couldn’t hit the 200%FTP power at all.

Nutrition: 80g gels an hour (8 x 40g PULS gel), 500ml water, 600ml electrolytes (2 x 4g High5 “Zero” electrolyte & magnesium tabs). Should have taken caffeine pills for the 3h+ fatigue. Recovery: 2 x 250ml Gainomax recovery drink (20g protein, 40g carbs).

See you again for Disaster 2021!

Great work!!!

That VO2 section just about killed me last year. The 2nd one in particular got SUPER dark and the only way I got through it was discussion in the chat. They all saved my ride and got me to the end.

Is there any chance to get one?
