Great podcast! This has been my favorite in quite some time, well done TR team. Not sure why, but I just love the female perspective on racing and training, maybe they’re just more open and candid. Thanks @IvyAudrain and Hannah! (Don’t know Hannah’s handle).

Amazing! The question about genetic potential was mine!

How often can you get a bunch of pro cyclists to comment your training!? Thank you @Jonathan / @IvyAudrain / and Hannah!

A couple of the biggest takeaways for me:

  • Relax, I’m getting faster, slowly but surely. Proof is on the career page.

  • Reframe from “genetic potential” to “practical potential”.

  • Don’t expect an FTP bump from “specialty phase”, that’s not what it’s trying to do.

I’m really looking forward to looking back at this question in a year and laughing at myself for asking about reaching my “potential” as an athlete.
