Popeye's Chicken is Entering New Markets

Now even as a Brit - that is funny! Here is UK we use a mix of both metric and imperial!

When I run it’s km and mins per km…when cycle all in miles!!

I’ve always found it fascinating that you guys switch back and forth so seamlessly when it comes to distance measurements…

Ahh that makes some sense then (well sorta). When watching Youtube videos (IE Francis Cade or GCN) and they continually shift back and forth between K’s and miles - it leaves me scratching my head. I just thought maybe it was intentional for the international audience, but it make more sense that it a cultural thing.

Ugh, we don’t! It’s a total pain! Metric was adopted in 1965 in Britain and the majority of the population - perhaps enough to scrape a Brexit vote  - are still backward enough to talk in Imperial. The rollout still isn’t complete 55 years later!

It’s done my head in for decades :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Heathen!

(For reference I have always driven, walked and run in miles and would only road ride in km. I might MTB I miles though. Oh how mucked up we are!)

This could be @Nate_Pearson!

It’s a joke, because I think it’s the worst thing you can eat but it’s tasty .

I actually don’t like Popeyes as much as I talk about it.

Not sure when I first mentioned it though.

Confirmed. Popeyes is coming to the UK later this year!!

Glad I bring value to this forum :joy:

I think a burger is generally something ground, mostly a beef burger, but turkey burgers are quite commonly referred to as burgers. It’s a patty on a bun. I call chicken sandwiches sandwiches because they are usually whole chicken breasts and thus would not be a burger to me. The type of bread isn’t the decider it’s the meat on it. However, we do have “patty melts” which are burgers on slided bread, but I don’t eat those, so no need for me to explain that one.

Maybe in taste but the hate content ruins it

Okay Burger Sandwich debate valid as per the non consequential things in life. So as we are on non consequential topics relating to food. Riddle me this Riddle me that Batman:

Why are we calling Wraps Wraps. They are Burritos plain and simple it’s a tortilla weather you make it from flour or spinach it’s a tortilla and when you roll it up it’s a BURRITO. I’m surprised Mexico has not thrown a penality flag or red card to their neighbors in the North for such a egregious misrepresentation of one of It’s iconic foods. Burrito :burrito: Baby.

Well, you are talking about a country that calls this “Pizza”:

I don’t know what the hell that is, but even here in Chicago we wouldn’t call that monstrosity a “pizza”.
