I’ve just put together a custom training plan. I was a TR customer back in 2020/21, I’ve been elsewhere but am now back on the platform for 2025. Couple of questions on where to start back up.

Volume vs ‘Training Approach’
Previously I would always pick ‘mid volume’ which as I recall gave me at least 6hrs per week. If I pick ‘Balanced’ now it gives me 3h45, and even ‘Demanding’ is only 4h45. Both are well under what I’ve been doing, even through the autumn. How do I recalibrate this? -
Base start
Of course training plans normally start with a base, but I feel I have a reasonably good base (I ride year-round). I’ve got a plan of 3 B events leading up to a multi-day trip in June. I definitely don’t want to be hammering myself too early, but the custom plan is giving me 7 weeks of Base, with barely anything above threshold. My first B event is a hilly Fondo in late Feb. I would normally expect to be doing a weekly hilly ride of at least 3hrs, plus 2 interval sessions in the week, and probably a fourth lighter ride. Is there a way to ramp it up a bit faster?
