Headed out west next weekend to ride to Santa Barbara 100 (https://ridesb100.com/) with some buddies of mine at work. 100 miles, about 9000 feet of climbing. I did mid volume criterium training plan during the early part of the race season. Only raced 8 or 10 local training races throughout 2021, No USAC races this year for me because there just wasn’t much on the calendar. In August I shifted gears a bit and started an eight week century plan with this event as the A race. Coming from the East Coast, this will be my first time riding in the west coast of the US. I’m super excited. Anybody headed out? Anybody done this ride in the past? Gonna be a big day!
Century plan and TR in general makes a huge difference. I was way more fit than the rest of the crew and felt strong all day.

I have family in the area and this is on my list for next year. Looks like a great ride.
