Depends a bit on the final surface they offer and the floor in use, but I’d expect it to be rather quiet in most cases. There could be some noise if there is any “shifting” in use. But with anything like a thin rubber coating on the contact surface, I’d think it will be nearly silent.
As far as pressure, it does possible reduce the contact surface to a more compact area. Even with a decent width, the curved aspect is likely to offer less surface support than the 4 feet on some bikes I have seen. I wouldn’t expect an issue unless you had a rather “fragile” floor surface.
I’m actually quite tempted to back this as a Stages SB20 owner…the ‘feet’ of the SB20 are much wider than the Curve Plate though and I wonder if this would be an issue
It just appeared on Bikerumor for me. I think you could adapt with a large enough piece of ply and drill the necessary slots for the straps and a riser block for the front.
This is also on sale for the same price at Wiggle. But for US buyers, the CR option is better with a lower delivery fee/upcharge. Might not matter for UK or EU buyers, but could be worth a doublecheck of both sides and fees for any potential buyers.
So… I have just backed this. The project has reached funding which is good news. I have now asked for confirmation if it will work with Stages SB20 - will report back.
The only snag I can really see is if the straps from the CURVEPLATE clash with the two vertical supports at the front of the bike.
Yes, the Curveplates will work with your stage bike
FYI: the 2 CURVEPLATES are easily and quickly mounted. Place the front and the back stand of the Indoor Bike on the Curveplates and secure them utilizing the 2 Velcro straps from the set on each side. There are also 4 slots on each CP to fasten shorter and longer feet securily.
If you have any further questions please send us a message.

So looks like I will wait for deliver and report back - should be sometime late November I hope
This could be quite the gamble then! Whilst not super cheap (about £100 without shipping) its cheaper than the other option I was considering (Bespoke Rocker Plate R3) at £350-ish… Fingers crossed!
Rib style rockers do have a bit of a unique feel. The lateral movement is larger than most rockers, and the curve shape also plays a large part in the feel.
Many are overly stable for my taste and take larger forces to lean. Good for some, but not everyone.
For sure, I am curious to see how the rollout goes and what people think of them. It’s a great concept (and on I had in a more simple wooden form) so I want to see how it all goes
Anyone heard anything recently about the Rockr Axis? There was mention earlier in this thread about it and it looks like it’s for sale on their website, but don’t see any comments here recently or any reviews anywhere on it. I was thinking of getting it, but the dearth of recent info gives me pause.
