Running/strength vs adaptive training

I wonder how other activities such as running and strength are considered now by adaptive training and how the plan is adapted. I see TR assigns a TSS to running (l guess considering the rpe) but not to strength. Also does it consider the frequency of these activities? In the case you haven’t run or lift weights for a long time the stress created on your body even by an “easy” run can be much higher as compared to doing these activities regularly.

I think it’s a bit hit and miss. Certainly not as good as predicting fatigue due to cycling.

For instance I did an impromptu half marathon “easy” run on Saturday and TrainerRoad didn’t bat an eyelid. Didn’t adapt my Sunday cycling threshold workout at all even though I couldn’t walk down the stairs.

But on the other hand I did a track vo2max running session a few weeks ago and that did affect my plan by giving me a “yellow” day.

TL;DR it doesn’t account for all types of stresses - you need to listen to your body.

Hey @Jose_Manuel

They are considered by Red Light Green Light:

However, as @kevistraining mentioned, you know yourself best, so if you feel like you need recovery and RLGL isn’t telling you to, then you know yourself best to make that call.
