Seems like she’s saying to do a ride without drinking anything, and weigh yourself before and after, in order to estimate a fluid loss rate, so you have a target for your consumption rate. Maybe an hour ride with no water is feasible for some people.

That’s what I’m trying to understand. I’d be surprised if TR was recommending to do a ride with no water, but at the least, I think it needs to be clarified either way.
