Setting up a stationary bike for a kid

Recently got a bike for my four year old and she has been asking me if I would set it up next to my trainer so she can pedal inside. Given the attention span of a toddler, I don’t imagine she will stay on it for more than a few minutes at a time, but thought it would be a fun thing for her to do to practice pedaling in anticipation for next spring when the weather gets nice again. And it will burn off some of her energy on days when we were stuck inside.

I remember seeing Ray review a fisher price stationary bike (Fisher-Price Smart Cycle Trainer In-Depth Review | DC Rainmaker), but it looks like it is no longer available.
Playing around on google I found a few interesting concepts:

Saw on road.cc…I’d definitely have to secure the front wheel for my little one

curious if anyone on here has done some sort of setup for their young kid

I just mounted a bike on my old Elite Novo Smart for my 8yo and 10 yo. The installation manual says it’s compatible down to 24’’ wheels.
They both got a free kids account on Zwift.

I made something like your first picture. Their bikes were a bit different so I had to use two different methods. They actually really liked it and was perfect for teaching how to pedal. They had been on the balance bikes for a while, so that’s all they needed to be able to ride once the snow melted and we got outside.
