Short version vs. long version of workouts

Has anyone here had a full season or solid build of using the shorter versions of workouts? If so, do you think missing an hour of week made a detriment to your goals? I’m a newbie to TrainerRoad so just curious. I’m doing the mid volume 5-9 hours a week. Sometimes I can’t do the planned time duration.

Depends a lot on the type of workout. It has more effect on the key Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday workouts than the rest.

Generally speaking it’s fine to swap in a shorter version. You will still be plenty fit.

If you consistently have less time, maybe the LV plan is a better fit (also mentally).
