Stretching/Flexibility

I have been neglecting stretching/foam rolling/flexibility work and my body is really suffering as a result. How much time should I devote to flexibility work? Should I do something everyday or is once a week enough? Is foam rolling better than static stretching or would yoga be the way to go? Any tips/suggestions would be welcome.

In 2023 I had trouble with extreme tightness. It took 5 months to resolve it was the sartorius muscle. It then took another 2-3 months to get back to normal.

I am back to a routine of stretching every day some key muscles. I will alternate my routine with strength work for 2-3 days and 2-3 days of stretching different areas.

What I have learned is stretching is often only part of the fix. You need to strengthen some of the other muscles as well.

I dont foam roll. I use some suction cups that I use after every workout in the shower on my legs. My physiotherapist showed what I should do. This helps as well.

For me it is easier to stay flexible if I do it every day. Good luck.

yep 5 mins every day is better than half an hour once/week.
