Subject says it all. I’ve done my due diligence (I’m pretty sure) and couldn’t find the answer to this. Ideally, I’d like a completed TR workout (using the ios app) to my Apple Watch. I know I can record in parallel on the watch itself, but that seems silly and I won’t get power data.
Thanks for putting up with a dumb question.
I have been there. Sadly, you cannot sync TrainerRoad workouts directly with your Apple Watch to see the power data. The best method is use your iPhone for record workout with TrainerRoad app. Then, sync that data to Apple Health. This way will update information on your Apple Watch also.
Hey there,
As @TrekTales said, for indoor workouts, your best bet would be to use your iPhone to record with the TR app. You can then sync that data to Apple Health.
You can also use your Apple Watch for Outside Workouts but load up the workout inside on the trainer – though it may not be quite as simple/smooth as just using the TR app on your iPhone.
Let us know if you have any additional questions about using your Apple Watch with TR – we’d be happy to help!

One option is to use Strava for syncing.
Trainerroad workouts can be synced to Strava automatically. The Apple Health can also be synced with Strava, so the workouts end up there without any manual steps.
I use my ipad indoors for TR. Will that work the same way?
I sync completed TR workouts to Apple Fitness via Garmin Connect: TR → Garmin Connect → Apple Fitness. The only downside is that in TrainingPeaks, I get duplicate workouts sometimes that doesn’t include power data for TR rides - I just end up deleting these. Not every application that syncs to Apple Fitness currently passes cycling power data. Annoying.
It would be much better if TR would natively sync completed workouts to Apple Fitness.
