Taking account of travelling when adding events to the calender

Hi All,

I’m planning next season and want to add my events to the calendar before using plan builder.

What do you do about travelling to and from events?

Do you add this as part of the event so TR doesn’t add any sessions on these days, or is there some other way to do it?

I’ve a couple of events that are 5 days cycling with 2 days travelling, so just trying to work out the best way to add them to the calendar.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Maybe try annotating the day before and after as holiday/time off or similar. Not tried it but Plan Builder does take notice of these so should work.

Just “tried”.

In your calendar click on a day and you’ll get a popup asking what you want to add. At the bottom is “Add an annotation”. Click that and you’ll get another dialog. The notes at the side state:

Create custom annotations to highlight things like:

  • Travel
  • Injury
  • Illness
  • Recovery Period
  • Change in Nutrition

Click the “Time off” option and fill out the rest as you see fit.

I think that should do it. I did the same for a holiday (vacation) for next week and Plan Builder moved everything around for me. AT then recalculated my workouts.
