Tarmac SL7 Release date

Have you tried using a 12s chain from another brand, like the new ones at YBN? MSPEEDWAX | Molten Speed Wax - YBN 12sp Silver or Gold Chain SLA1210

I also don’t like that SRAM chains are literally the slowest of all, but getting one chain from these guys could solve this. I also feel that in 1 year, when shimano releases the new durace, the AXS would have better reselling value than the 11s durace… just some quick thoughts.

The problem is that will come with just 1ring the new tarmac with the sram. The sworks goes with 2 rings so idk about the reselling of it.

Still SL6 frame.

One ring? Are we sure? This would be so weird lol… 3T issues all over again

If you look at the pictures of the new one with AXS, it has 2 rings, so I dunno what you are talking about

I haven’t tried that yet. I should look in that other thread about it and see if anyone’s had good luck.

The Pro is apparently SRAM 1x. The S Works presumably won’t be.

The pro sram is 46t 1x on 10-33 cassette.

That’s surprising. Quick poll…

  • I’d prefer a 1x SRAM Drive train on the pro level SL7
  • I’d prefer a 2x SRAM or Shimano Drive train on the pro level SL7

I was planning on getting the SRAM tarmac pro, but if it’s 1x, that’s a nonstarter. Might have to go with the Émonda SL7. Love Spesh, but S-Works is too expensive for me.

Yh well, that’s something else to add to the budget.

Still cheaper than sworks

Yh you are right but sworks goes with the red sram, clx not just cl and the colors.

I think the pro is still available with Di2 and I expect that version will massively outsell the SRAM version

Yup, goes with the di2 and if u read above u can even check the colors of it.
The problem with di2 is that’s 11gears and in a year comes the 12gears of shimano.

So I will have another gear on which I can be dropped

What would be the benefit to having a 1x front gear on a racing/climbing bike? I could see it on a TT or maybe even the Venge, if you live in Florida and never go up anything. Also someone said that SRAM probably forced it on Specialized. Why would they do that? Just trying to wrap my head around the thinking.

Which thread please? I did some “YBN” and “12 chain” forum searches, only found one with 12 replies talking about 12s MTB chain…

Dear all, do you have any idea about the color code for Specialized?

What’s the code a/b/c/d mean for? Frame? Fork? Mark?

Thank you all.
