Has anybody completed this route or significant portions, willing to share some tips, insights?. Looking to do this next year in 6 -7 days.
Seems like weather and road maintenance is a big issue as well as accommodations at the top of the passes.
This tentative itinerary eliminates the shelter in the high passes areas.

Can’t believe nobody here has done this….
Haven’t cycled there but last summer waze send me on the craziest route (and though the really expensive Frejus tunnel 
) on part of that route (so I drove most of your day 2). I have to say that it was absolutely beautiful and I would love to cycle there (many cyclists on the road too) Oh and I saw many stretches of road of limit to cyclists but cyclists ignoring the signs…
