I have just updated my TrainerRoad app. It is requesting, in a loop, my keychain password. When I enter the password and click ‘Allow’, it simply refreshes the warning message. I am unable to use the app. The error reads:
"
TrainerRoad Helper (Renderer) wants to use your
confidential information stored in
“Trainerroad_App” in your keychain.
To allow this, enter the “login” key chain password.
"
I just wanted to warn any fellow Mac users of the issue before you install the update. Hopefully it’s just my computer. I’ve logged a call.
Sorry for the trouble! Make sure you enter their system password (not TR password) in the keychain prompt and select “Always Allow” (image of the prompt is below). You may need to enter their password up to 5 times before it goes away.
I had the same experience. What I found is that the app asked the same question about 7-8 times. After entering the password several times it then proceeded normally.
Thanks mate, it must have been about my 7th try when I did it. I think I might have been clicking just ‘Allow’ as well instead of ‘Always Allow’. Excited to check out the new features!
hooray for the forum search function because this is back and I definitely would not have typed my password 8 times if there wasn’t an old thread telling me to do so!
Same happened to me this morning. Had to chat with support. See @IvyAudrain’s advice. You just have to keep entering your laptop password over and over until TR loads up. I had to do it 9-10 times. Seem to be working fine now.
Ok, so this morning even the temp fix above is not working. I’ve tried over and over and the app still won’t load. I’ll contact support again. FYI @IvyAudrain.
