Any suggestions on which TR plan to use? Would using a triathlon plan without the bricks be a good way to go?

Your best approach depends on your event timing and priorities. If both events are close together and you need to train for them simultaneously, using Plan Builder and selecting triathlon as your discipline is a solid strategy!
If you have the time, I’d recommend the Full Distance Triathlon Plan (minus the swims) to build the endurance needed for both big efforts.
If your events are spaced out, you might want to focus on one first, then shift your training later in the season to optimize for the second.
