Small background - started cycling around 18 months ago, but started getting serious this year.
I’m trying to figure out the best plan for me for the rest of the year. I’m currently on the climbing road race plan but I’m not sure it’s the best choice for me.
As far as my goals and races - I live on Oahu which means I don’t have much for big climbs and the “hilliest” races we have are sprint climbs up ~1000-1400 ft climbs or a few laps of a 1000ft climb (around 3k total).
I’m beginning to think a sustained power plan such as 40k TT or Rolling Road Race would be a better option long term because I don’t have any major climbs out here.
I know almost anything consistent will be good for me at the moment, but I’d like to try and be as optimized as I can.
