I’m looking for a new saddle mount for my Varia.
I’ve bought this one twice and both have snapped in the same place so there’s probably a design flaw somewhere so looking for an alternative
I can’t mount on the seatpost due to saddle bag so definitely looking for a saddle mount.
From the item you’ve linked you’ve already got the female garmin mount so I’d start with something like this and then if I needed length to avoid my pack get a set of gopro mounts.
Have you seen this?
KOM makes a clip that attaches to your saddle bag ( if it has a strap in the back).
My experience with 3D printed mounts is that they are not very durable.

But mine works mounted on the seat post
I also mounted the varia on my fatbike upside down so that the transceiver cleared the tire and the light at least shined on the ground, etc. It looked funny, but worked. I also thought that someone had a quarter-turn clip on mount somewhere. Don’t know how well it would work on a back bag as it was probably aimed at light usage.

How are yours snapping? Is it during rides or some sort of handling/tailbag access? I looked to be getting what you had originally posted, but maybe not now.
The Varia lights aren’t cheap - I’d hate to lose one.
I’ve got a snap on cover with an elastic tether for mine, was less than a tenner from Amazon. Peace of mind if the Garmin rubber bands snap.
During the ride. Not great for the varia.
