Wahoo Kickr - Extreme resistance

Hi, I purchased a Wahoo Kickr in December and have been using TrainerRoad for workouts over the winter months. Over the last 3-4 months I’ve seen FTP gains of 5% consistently and have noticed improvements riding outside hitting PRs on rides that I never thought I would surpass from my younger days. About a month ago my wife tried to do a TR workout on her account and couldn’t even move the pedals when the app was saying 70ish watts. I tried to spin the cranks and also found it extremely hard, especially at 70 watts! I have performed spin down tests (which had times of 3-4sec) tried a factory calibration through Wahoo but saw no improvements. I checked the belt tension with no adjustments and have recently noticed a burning rubber smell when riding at higher cadences/speeds, especially for spindown tests. After all of this I was fortunate enough to have a ramp test and saw my FTP tank by 34%! Frustrated, I contacted Wahoo and they made me check a few things and do a ERG test. I was able to complete the test but it was rough even though it should have been attainable based on my FTP and other workouts I have done. Wahoo ultimately said the unit was working properly. After doing the ERG test the weather has improved and I’ve been riding outside and riding well getting lots of PRs on segments I’ve ridden hundreds of times. Today I went out to do a workout due to bad weather and it happened to be a ramp test again I was 28% below my FTP when I first started TR after being well rested after a good week of riding last week. I plan to try a workout today or tomorrow that I have completed in my early stages of TR workouts to see how it goes. I wish I have a power meter on my bike that I could compare with the Wahoo…

Does anyone have any suggestions or have others experienced this issue? Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
