So “indoor” (blue) planned workouts on the calendar will get sync’d to a Wahoo without having to switch it to an “outdoor” (green) ride on the calendar? If so that would be awesome!
Will FTP have to be accurate in Zwift or will the power targets be based off the setting in TrainerRoad?
In Shane’s video, he says the workout comes across to Zwift with the FTP from the training platform, so no need to synch the two.
Yes, a single power target number (not a range) works much better on the Wahoo screen. If you use Wahoo’s zoom function, having it as a range won’t actually zoom the text because there is too much of it.
Also, Wahoo doesn’t beep at you no matter how much you miss the target power. Wahoo don’t care
That’s right!
Power targets will be based on your TR FTP.
Thanks for your work on this.
I’ve tried Zwift but always found it difficult to follow the TR workout on my Garmin head unit…
Not because I couldn’t follow the workout, my problem was that I’d be keeping up with a Zwift group (so benefitting from the draft) and then I’d get a recovery interval and I’d fall off the back of the group.
So I’d be losing the social side of trying to ride with friends or a Zwift group because I decided my TR workout was more important.
I don’t think this will solve this (not that I’m blaming you) so I’m not sure if I will give this a try.
But the efforts in bringing a closer integration is appreciated.
Hi Nate can I be a beta tester so I don,t have to wait till January
Hang on there, champ……the end of the line for beta testers is way over there.
Wait your turn.
I really would love it if you could sync the indoor ride to Garmin as I prefer using my head unit so I get the Garmin metrics rather than dual recording and having to have my phone on for an hour or hour and a half straight wasting battery
Free idea: Turn on Zwift syncing for beta testing, but only with Disaster.
Isn’t that what Nate showed in his post? It can push to Zwift, garmin, wahoo, etc? Or am I missing what you’re saying?
January?! Good Gawd! i can’t wait that long! Beta please
Looks awsome. Just the wait till 2025 seems too much
Great news @Nate_Pearson
Question for the triathletes and runners: Does this mean you will add structured running workouts to your Triathlon plans because they will now sync with your watch (like TP) and Zwift? It would be super easy to setup the metrics.
I’d actually be impressed if we get this in January, considering they just started working on it. They’ve got a to build it, test it, fix bugs, market it, and release it, and we’ve got thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years coming up. I’m sure TR employees are taking well deserved time off
Perhaps I miss read from a post further down I noticed he said about outdoor workouts for Garmin but nothing about indoor perhaps it will?
It does say “or outside on your Garmin” but if it gets pushed to Garmin connect I’m not sure how you’re stopped from doing that workout inside or outside
Sounds great But when you say anything do you mean any cycling workout?
One thing I’ve noticed is sometimes my Garmin fills up with Workouts and I have to manually delete them. And SBR synching feels like I’m asking for too much.
And plus one on MyWoosh. As a committed free to use platform focussed on esports it strikes me as a useful integration partner. Well, imho.
I agree this will be really impressive and hopefully not too stressful a holiday period
