This is one beer that sticks in the memory from last night at over £6 we thought the pint would be OK but all of us put it down, it certainly lived up to its name.

(Last night)

Stone ‘Go To IPA’. It’s unusually hard to get around here unless it’s in a mix-pack. It should be more readily available, especially if it’s a ‘go to’. But tasty, worth tracking it down…

GF and the tot met me at the brewery after light ride the other night as planned:

I believe this is the juicemaster 500 (hazy ipa), blanking on it for some reason.
Also had a Double red IPA, both good.

and decorated bike, I had to steal these off the holiday bush and literally as I put the bike outside Amazon guy walked up with the set I ordered…

I cannot recall the last time I just rode in normal clothes and bombed around a city having fun on a bike. Told the GF last night I need to join a bicycle gang that hangs out at breweries, she’s convinced one exists.

Tough to go wrong with Modern Times…

This might be my favorite Westcoast style IPA… all the bright, hoppy goodness without the harsh aftertaste. I remember the first time I went to Societe Brewery and the guy that poured my beer said he went to work there solely for The Pupil.

I was given one of these for the holidays. Classic westcoast style IPA with a serious bitter aftershock. Great with Thai curry but I like the jucier DIPA Delicious better.

Liking their Holiday mix-pack. But this was another one that I thought wasn’t what I thought it was supposed to be. Still, drinkable, and I did buy a 6 of it last year. It’s a stouty-IPA, or an IPA-stout?

That bottle is too delicious. Had two in the past month. Between that and the protein buttermilk pancakes it’s a perfect post morning ride brunch. Heck, it good on its own.

Having mimosas with the wife and no beer yet, but she set me up with a good haul of chalices/goblets/whatever from Belgium and the shipping likely cost more than the glassware itself

Hahaha, yes - I’d say so. For the prior 14 years of our marriage she was basically annoyed with cycling and my love for strong blonde Belgian ales. For my 40th earlier this year we did Flanders, Roubaix, and then Munich for the sole purpose of watching bike racing and drinking Belgian and then German beers. She had such a good time, and then the release of Unchained on Netflix happened and now we’re spending several days in Nice in 24 to watch the last 2 stages of the TdF - all at her suggestion and booking. Took 14 years, but I definitely hit the jackpot for a good beer drinking cyclist/triathlete
