What type of sunglasses are you guys wearing?

It’s hard to really describe what something looks like, but I have the gold lenses, and things have a slight yellow hue, but make everything a bit more crisp visually. I don’t have experience with all the big name glasses brands, but I think in general the lenses from the companies actually doing R&D will have a slight hue with the color that they are, but still amplify vision in all light scenarios.

I just bought a pair of Ekoi Premium70’s. Loving them and in a sea of Oakley it’s nice to be a little different…

Yeah, before I actually tried Oakley I thought all the hype about how much better the lenses are was BS. Now I wouldn’t want to wear anything else.

+1 here… only use legit lenses + frames developed for cycling while cycling. Some real horror stories out there of the fakeley frames and lenses shattering during crashes and taking out eyes or disfiguring peoples faces

Its maybe clever marketing but I’ve seen a few Oakley videos saying/ showing the same. It’s worked to convince me though to avoid Jokeleys :hushed:

Bit graphic but theres a few stories out there like this. I still use my fakeleys when out running every now and then. At the end of the day they were £3 so not really losing any money not using them…

I’ve been wearing a pair of Tifosi Alliant since September after years of wearing cheap gas station sunglasses and I love them. Comfortable, stay on my head, no fogging, and being able to switch lenses is nice, especially between road and MTB. Built better than Wish/Amazon sunglasses, but only $70 instead of ~$200 like Rokas (although tbh I would love a pair of Roka sunglasses).

Those are apparently huge. I ordered a pair of Matadors (I won’t look this cool in them though)

So even though i got cycling specific sunglasses last August, i’ve started running pretty much daily… so i figured that i might as well bite the bullet and get some Rokas… i got the Roka Konas with prescription in black and dark artic mirror lens. They look casual enough to wear ‘around town’ but they also are gonna be super sticky supposedly so they won’t slip while running (SCORE)

I’ll update once i receive them in a few weeks

They are Chinese (RockBros) and probably a copy of something but they done the job tonight. I am quite impressed, being half blind, that they have an insert frame for prescription lenses replacement/coloured inserts for the arms and a decent case. I probably could have got away with my darker Endura but the RockBros seemed to fog up less anyhow. It was a pretty rapid and non stop/start test though (that’s where the Endura’s fog up) so I can’t say for sure.

These look pretty sweet, and a great price.

But on a related note, I added them to my cart to think about them and got this email:

The subject line was, “We have a problem! It’s not your fault…but it kinda is!

Seriously? Like, the product looks great, but getting emails like this really puts me off. Not sure if I’m the only one, but I hate this marketing tactic and almost makes me want to not order in spite. Guilt tripping me isn’t going to make me want your product.

Other than that, I may still pick up a pair.

Who has hydrophobic coatings on both the inside and outside of their lenses? I’d like a pair of Oakley path ev trail prisms for mtb but I read they only coat the outer facing side of the lenses these days. Here in Texas it’s inevitable that sweat starts to run down the inside of my glasses and it would be really nice if they were easy to clean on the trail.

After years of riding with various cheap glasses / forces supplied glasses / sun glasses my wife bought me a pair of Oakley Radar EV Path with with Prizm Trail lenses (I’m a MTB’er). I’ll admit I was a bit cynical due to the cost, but;

Wow, what a revaltion  No more squinting in sunlight / struggling to see in the dark / steaming up when stopped / draught’s around the eyes / problems with large contrasts (sunlight in woods)

I rode yesterday morning from before sunrise (with lights) to after and they were great in all conditions.

I’m not sure I’d do it to $200 sunnies without a guinea pig, but I’ve put rain-x on my shades before without any problems.

Roka Matadors. I got a couple pairs… so far only wore them on the trainer lol. I m hoping they dont bounce when I am running.

I was at the local ride yesterday and saw a guy with a pair, apparently he’s got 3 because he likes them so much.

I mean… maybe they think is funny?
Because grown men with beards can’t get upset and cry?
IDK
I find it a bit funny, but annoying at the same time.

Lots of sites do that, but at least that’s funny. Boycotting a business for following up with customers and having a sense of humor seems a bit much though.
