I did Andrews outside. I’m coming to the end of SSBIMV and my hamstrings are feeling really tight. Should I just be doing more mobility work?

My first stab at Tabatas. Did it in Erg mode on a Tacx Neo.

AT didn’t like my backpedaling the recovery valleys so it gave me a zero.

It means your PL Anaerobic stayed at 3.1 for now

Threshold on Wednesday evening but my legs were still a bit tired from a 200k ride on Saturday (my longest ever ride).

Cadence fell off on the latter intervals and I cracked on the last one :disappointed:

Still pleased to have got through it though, as I’d imagined I wouldn’t be able to get through even one interval, power of the mind I guess

Good question. I feel like my hamstrings are always tight no matter how much mobility work I do.

Was that one rated 12.7? Is that the hardest workout in the catalog? I would have though it would have given you at least a bump up of a thousand in the PL even with the backpedals. Nice work.

@dsirrom congrats on the 200K ride!

@JMT thanks - I was buzzing afterwards.

Aiming for 150miles next, then the longer term goal is 300k. But I mustn’t get ahead of myself … :joy:

Rogers +1 was in my Calendar night. It was a bit too blowy for the TT bike but I still wanted to do it on the TT bike so I took it to the virtual world and decided on Cap Formentor to get a low cadence session.

Trying Train Now and really enjoying it. It gives me workouts I have never done before. Like this one:

Which I actually really liked.

I really confused AT doing a bunch of outside workouts that it’s ignored over the last couple weeks, so I’m starting vanilla Climbing Road Race with no adaptations as a sort of reset. I like these intervals with the backspins built in

Recess-5 was in my calendar today. I took it outdoors to get some TT practice on nice quiet roads. I had also fitted an aero spacer which made the stack about 5mm lower. Although I doubted I’d notice I wanted to check. I was right :+1:

Sugarloaf +5:

Died a thousand deaths over the first three intervals, had a lil’ identity crisis, then realized that despite the open window and two fans, my office had turned into a hothouse. Opened the door and RPE cratered almost immediately. Wild how that works.

I fitted a new front tyre and latex inner tube the other day so I stuck Wednesday’s workout (Recess-5) back in my diary for today. Its basically one long (30minutes) recovery interval. 0.7mph faster for the same effort and less aero (traffic ) definitive proof that they are faster

Thunder felt pretty good today. Just following the instructions alternating cadences between the effort levels. The power meter occasionally registered 20-50 rpm when I wasn’t that slow, so that was weird. Today might be the last indoor ride with a TickrX, that thing chews up batteries like crazy!

Kinda disappointed that Thunder was today but I don’t see a Honey workout as a follow-up.

No backpedals this time. AT rewarded me.

Continuing to play to my strengths, using anaerobic and sprint repeats to boost my overall fitness.

I dabble a bit in Z4 and Z5, but the majority of my training is Z2 or Z6+.

Graveyard is the hardest Anaerobic workout at 15.7.

It looks pretty much impossible.
