Where do you feel it the most when you try to workout on the bike when ill?

  • Legs (sore for no reason and/or feels like you’re pedaling through mud)
  • Cardiovascular (can’t catch your breath and/or HR is elevated)
  • Motivation (RPE higher than expected and/or just can’t mentally push through)

The past two weeks I figured I was on the mend for an illness, the only symptom I have is greenish/yellowish snot. I got back on the bike for a threshold workout today but just could not get through it and quit halfway through. The RPE was 9/10 on what was a 7/10 workout two weeks ago.

Legs felt super sluggish and it felt like I couldn’t catch my breath. Even though I didn’t “feel” sick, I guess I still am? Your experiences?
