Which Ant+ dongle are you using in December 2024?

I’ve just dig out an old, cheap “Anself” Ant+ dongle. It was £9 on eBay 5+ years ago. Long and short, it doesn’t seem to work with Windows 11. I’ve tried the TR drivers and the Wahoo drivers, and while the device is recognised it still has an ! In device manager and neither TR or Zwift can see it.

I figure I’ll just buy another, there’s some £9.99 ones if you Google and I’m wondering if they’ll work with Windows 11 or do I need a bigger brand name one?

I forget what I use but I had to install Ant+ drivers to get things to work on Windows 11.

I’ve been using the Tacx antenna for a few years now

Mine is a Dynastream I got 8 years ago. It was being sold by Saris at the time.

You tried this?

No dice. Even manually downloaded the Dynastream drivers (link) but Windows doesn’t like it.

Probably just get a new dongle

Just get from amazon, return if it doesn’t work

Just checked mine… It’s an anself like yours :joy:

Maybe I won’t rush to upgrade to windows 11

People still use Ant+ dongles? Seems so 2016.

I have 2 bikes with perfectly working Ant+ only power meters on them. Why wouldn’t someone in a similar situation also not use an ant+ dongle in 2024, or even 2025 in a few days?

Ant+ is my connection mode of choice even though all my sensors could use Bluetooth :man_shrugging:t2:

I bought both an ant+ and Bluetooth dongle but I prefer ant (although my dongle broke) because it’s just so much faster to connect (almost instant vs a couple of minutes) and you don’t need to worry about other devices making a connection too

Was just joking…I switched from running TR and Zwift on a windows laptop to an ipad using BT connections years ago, I had actually forgotten about the little dongles but I probably have a few in a drawer somewhere.

My Wahoo (Bluegiga) died recently, so looking for a replacement. sigh
