I agree. Sky is very expensive and the coverage is poor if you are only interested in what they consider “other” sports like Cycling.
And don’t get me started on their streaming apps for using when training indoors

Ignoring my on going issues with captions they’ve now go MTB racing which just adds another value point to their offerings.
That they included the PTO triathlon race now last weekend was sweet! I hope they continue to provide coverage.
I’ve not read the entire thread but based on a few responses, people like the Eurosport Player app over the GCN+ app? At the moment, pricing for a year is the same and in the Eurosport Player I also still get to watch other sports content instead of just cycling, which is why I’m debating going for that one.
No adverts on GCN but don’t know about Eurosport?
I don’t really watch other sports competitions so even without the documentaries I’d lean towards GCN.
The films certainly feel less like an extended advert that some gcn shows are. Also with MTB racing now I hope there’ll be MTB films in the future.
Guess it depends on your preferences: other sports or documentaries.

I gave up and bought Apple TV, no regrets apart from the remote…what a pain.
My Samsung TV has the app available, so I went that route. Glad to have more biking content to add to my usual youtube.
Unless you have a credit card issued in the region where they allow using the Eurosport app, they won’t allow it. A VPN doesn’t help in this case.
I like the remote. The iPod style click wheel is very intuitive IMO. With that said my partner dislikes the touch surface tracking.
My complaint is that it is smaller and easy to lose and that Apple up to now (apparently iOS 17 fixes this) does not implement Find My on it.
I use my phone as an Apple TV remote.

Just got a new Samsung TV for the basement and the remote will control my ATV…I was not upset about this.

Here in the Uk been using Eurosport/Discovery but considering just using GCN+ now I see it has an Apple TV app. Question is though what is the images quality like?
I upgraded my old Firestick (Basic 2018) to a new 4K Max Firestick during Amazon Prime Days since it was close to 50% off. If I’d have known the performance difference I’d have done it sooner. The GCN+ app now works perfect on the new stick, it was sluggish on my old stick. The timing is perfect for watching the TDF with my vpn.

Its the same coverage that sent to eurosports/ discovery so it’ll be the same as you are currently getting.

Am I missing something: is GCN+ not showing Vuelta stages in their entirety?
I gave up on GCN when the taunting of that one presenter got way too bad IMO. Oh, and the ‘sponsored’ stuff. The endless sponsored stuff. They started doing more marketing and pushing products. Sad too because I liked most of their stuff before they got so ‘corporate’.
I just got tired of it. 
I caught the TdF on Peacock. Don’t know who might be broadcasting the Vuelta. That would be good to watch, but not worth signing up to GCN. Sorry, not sorry…
