Windows Vista compatibility

Hi, I use an old laptop running Windows Vista 32 bit. The calendar is great on the web interface, but it does not transfer to the TR application in Windows. TR tried to update the app, but I got a pop up saying a need to install .NET Framework 4.7 something. This is not compatible with my old OS.

So as a result, my current training plan on the TR app is as it was before I re-arranged it on the web based calendar. Not good as every morning I need to manually search for the workout then ride it.

Even if I cant have the snazzy calendar, can the old version of the app not be updated with my current plan?

Hey there!

Unfortunately, due to some updates that went through back in August, Vista users need to download the NET 4.7.2 Framework in order to update to the latest version of the app. In some cases, the NET framework cannot be updated, in which case there is sadly nothing we can do to get you on the latest version of the software.

I’m really sorry I don’t have better news for you on this :pensive:. I know it’s not ideal, but if you download the TrainerRoad Mobile App to your smartphone, it will allow you to quickly and easily access your prescribed workout. You can then search for that workout in the Workouts Tab of your desktop app.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you out with today.

Hi Bryce

Thanks for that info. I wasn’t expecting much from an 11 year-old laptop to be honest!

It’s not really a big deal, it only takes a couple of seconds to search for the work out.

I’m certainly not going to waste an n+1 request on a new laptop!
