WWDD - Disaster Day 2023!

First time doing WWDD. I decided to go for the long version and just see what happened. It actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. That said, my legs will likely disagree tomorrow morning.

I kept it on ERG until I hit the sweet spot/sprint section as I figured it’d be easier to do those 8 second sprints with ERG turned off. Like others I could’t quite nail the fireworks. I was supposed to hit 660 on them but ended up only getting at/above that on 4 of the 10 (averaged 644 with a range of 603-703)

Breakfast/Pre-Ride Nutrition: ~70 mg of carbs + 50 mg of caffeine + a glass of water
On-Bike Nutrition: ~300 mg of carbs (gatorade, gummy worms, and a cliff bar) + 50 mg of caffeine + ~2 L of fluid (a little less than a bottle per hour)

By the way: I edited my Disaster-Workout to be NOT included in my Progression Levels, but that does not seem to work - I’m now at VO2Max 8,2 or something and AT gives me corresponding Workouts :fearful:. Any Idea why that could have happened?


Last minute addition to the calendar this year. No group and not sure how much time I had so dropped down to -1. Legs immediately said NO on the first firework burst so just skipped the whole section.

i have just done the same and am going to wait till Thursday for the start of my build phase to see if the workout levels change when i rerun AI FTP

Looking at vo2 level 8 i definitely could not manage that at the moment
