I’m in the process of converting my bike to Sram AXS from Shimano Ultegra Mechanical with Zipp wheels.
All going well so far. However, I’m switching the 11 speed Shimano driver to the 12 speed xdr and the xdr doesn’t fit onto the axle on the Zipp hub - diameter too small.
Before i start trying to smash out the axle with a mallet - firstly is this desirable and second what axle do i need to order to fit the xdr body?
Thanks for any suggestions
Can you upload some pictures so we can better understand? Sounds like you might have the wrong cassette driver for that hub?
I’ll show some pics tomorrow. In the meantime - does the XDR driver come with various axle diameters?
Basic question - did you buy an XDR Driver from Zipp that is compatible with your wheel?

Ha. No. It’s an XDR that i already had. Same question as previous post re the axle diameter.
Reach out to Zipp, anything else is a disaster waiting to happen

You need to get the one specific to your wheel. That’s not a universal part.

Yep I’ve done this, waiting for a response. If only there was a standard axle diameter.
