Zwift Play Controller

Or was I just on a WattBike… or similar?!

TIL this was already a thing with Smart Bike Trainers. False alarm. My bad.

Has anyone with one of these controllers tried pairing it to a computer outside of Zwift? The form factor would be great for simple video games on the trainer, but the DC Rainmaker article on it mentioned Zwift is using some non-standard Bluetooth protocol, so it would be great to confirm whether Windows/Mac computers can even pair it as an input device.

You probably need a software to map the bluetooth input to keys. The controllers would be great for gaming on the trainer.

You can pair them ouside zwift

You just can’t do anything with them (outside zwift) once you do, like @greenbike says, you would need something to map the input to keys

If this works for games I absolutely need these controllers. Getting already bored on the trainer.

I really hope there will be a version compatible with flatbars. I suppose they think about it as there were several in game surveys about the used handle bar.

Does it show up outside of any training software? I’m thinking if it’s detected by the OS (Windows/Mac/Linux), then it should be doable to map the buttons and create a custom retroarch controller profile: RetroArch
