One of my favorite spring events down in Stillwater. The last two years I’ve raced it on my Fatbike and this year I’m going on my gravel rig. Any other TR users headed to the event this year?
I will be on the gravel bike. Only doing the 50 though. It will be my Saturday ride.
Unfortunately this will be the first time I have ridden a drop bar bike outdoors since early January. Rode the MTB once in February, otherwise it has all been trainer. 18 inches of snow okay, sub 20 degrees Fahrenheit not okay.
Hopefully it is a tad bit warmer around Stillwater and not wet.
I can relate, the cold weather here has been brutal this year but it should be a good time though. Last year was about ideal and hoping for the same conditions this year!
It was a perfect day. Hindsight has me wishing I did the 100. Great event and some really nice gravel. @tsquared Hope you made it and had a great ride.
Couldn’t agree more! The weather and roads were about perfect. You making the trip next year for the hundo?

Still not 1st. Bummer. Amazing ride for Mr. King, tho.
Two Hour Power: 310W
One Hour Power: 331W
30 minute Power: 342W
Not bad for “retired”
That is the plan. A few friends did the 100 this year and are already talking self redemption. Might as well tag along for the show.
It’s a good time! I’ve raced landrun the last 3 years and if there is rain in the forecast it tends to get a little rowdy. That red mud is no joke! Here is a pic from 2017…
My brother in law was 9th overall. Great race for him and glad the weather was good. I would never do this race given the chance of crappy weather. My wife knows someone that literally had to replace her bike after the 2017 race. Grit and mud tore through the carbon, all bearings shot, etc. No way in hell I’m doing that to my Santa Cruz Stigmata.
