I forgot my helmet to a race, no helmet no race so borrowed one from a 12yo girl.
Tri race, forgot my wetsuit. No wetsuit, no race…hired one.
So I’m not throwing stones, but…no bike?

Gold! A 12 y/o’s helmet fit you? I guess the rule doesn’t say it has to fit 
But why no race without wetsuit? That’s not mandated.
No it didn’t fit, but the really embarrassing bit was meeting her mum in the City three days later to return the helmet. I didn’t know either of these people! One of many reasons triathletes are great. 
Wetsuits are rarely optional in the UK, despite the natural insulation I carry. While Blu has a body shape more akin to mine, the don’t fat percentage is not remotely similar…more fool him - I get the buoyancy gainz!

Isn’t the quest for ‘aero’ getting a little ridiculous? And does it come in titanium? (If you’re going for that, might as well go all in?)
Forgot a helmet after a long drive to get there, and figured ‘I’m not going to waste the trip’, and took off for a 90 minute rip, and got the strangest looks from people ‘He’s a rebel!’, ‘He’s breaking the rules!’. I certainly hoped for nothing to happen, and swore I’d never forget it again.
Temperature: Around here the water temps tend to be in the 60’s, but I’ve heard lately that it’s running over 80, so far, and the summer just got started! It’s insane… Will any fish be precooked when you pull them out? (Not that I’d ever eat them, but many do)

Not sure if it‘s in the right thread: There is now Continental Aero 111 for around 120€ per tire (!).
It has been spotted at the tour.
(I first thought it was a joke actually, that’s why I’m posting it here.)
