Hi everyone. There have been variations on this topic, but mine is more specific. A lot of people have a hard time with fructose in their gut. I’m using maltodextrin with fructose. But I want to replace the fructose with something that is easier on the gut and it’s not sucrose. If that’s maple syrup, how would I maple syrup in this ratio? I use 60 g of maltodextrin 30 g of fructose and 3.5 g of electrolytes.
Isn’t maple syrup mostly sucrose?

Maple syrup is mostly sucrose.
Maple syrup is typically about 50-75% sucrose, less than 10% glucose and less than 4% fructose.

I think there are three types of monosaccharides: glucose, fructose, and galactose. I have not heard of galactose being used in carb drinks, so I think if you don’t want to have fructose then that leaves you with just glucose.
Give Dextrose / Highly branched Cyclic Dextrin a try
