Podcast: Cyclists + Creatine

I couldn’t find a thread for the specific podcast, but I listened to the one below and have been convinced (along with a decent offer from the supplement company I use) to add creatine to my supplement regime.

However, I have a couple of questions now it’s arrived…

  1. Should I be doing the week long load before reverting to the 3g maintenance?
  2. If the above is yes, should I hold off from starting next week which is week 4/ a recovery week?

Most of what I am hearing is that you don’t need to load it anymore, can’t remember what they said on this podcast but that is what I have heard elsewhere.

I would just start, there is no benefit to wait for a certain workload.

If you are shopping and have a costco membership mine started carrying the ON version for about 20 bucks (In the US). The price was less than what I last paid for the nutricost? brand from amazon. The ON seems to mix better for me when I throw it in my coffee in the morning, but I haven’t tried it just in some water in the evening where it would be easier to see.

This pod might also be of interest to you. Essentially, no need to load - just start on, and continue with, the maintenance dose (~3-5g per day).
