Zwift have removed the 5w rounding !!!

We requested that, and they made the change! :raised_hands:

Not for everyone they havenā€™t. Check out the zwift forums

People have been requesting it for years

:frowning: I liked that feature, hopefully itā€™s still there for non TR workouts

I just loaded up a workout, same for none TR workouts (rounds to nearest) Iā€™m impartial, makes no difference to me, just the big blocker for a lottle of people was the 5w thing, so was worth pointing out

Title updated. Iā€™m not exactly a clickbait cringelord out for the clicks. Thanks for the feedback though.

Iā€™ll still stand on the hill that the combination is too expensive. Ideally there would be a combination discount/subscription tier for both services. A bundle? Something.

But the combo has always been (relatively) expensiveā€¦I donā€™t see why this integration should change it and users have been paying for both platforms for years.

ETA - I do agree with you that this is not likely to cause a substantial bump in subscribers to either platformā€¦but I do think it will cause some to maintain both platforms now.

And itā€™s really not that expensive considering TR is more of a coaching platform, which is way cheaper than a human coach. ~$200 a year vs $200 a month

I havenā€™t said that the cost has changed. Iā€™m making it expressly clear to people who may have never considered TR (or maybe who never looked into Zwift) that putting these two together - which as I also point out, fills a big gap in what Zwift offer - is at a cost.

I took a punt itā€™d be something completely ignored in the standard media hype around this. Looking at the Zwift and TR promo of it so far, I was right.

Ironically if people watch my video it might save them a click in having to learn the associated costs.

The issue I had with the original Title was that it said ā€œat a costā€, that implied (to me) that there was going to be an additional fee having the link on top of TR + Zwift subscription

I feel that you are unfair on putting this only in the TR title, and not pointing out that it is an additional cost for any of the training software, Xert is $15 , even Join @ $13, are additional costs, and your post / video makes it feel that only TR are ā€œat what costingā€ it ā€¦ to me

Also ā€¦ from your video, it doesnā€™t matter what course you use for doing a workout in Zwift, you get the same XP

Ahhā€¦ That makes sense. I appreciate the clarification.

As above, Iā€™ve chosen to cover pricing/cost/value as itā€™s something Iā€™d want to know about either service. I suspect other non Zwift/TR media will do the same. Any talk of pricing (or price rises) is always a sensitive topic. (Side Note: CyclingNews covered the pricingā€¦ and referenced the ā€˜recent price hikeā€™ on Zwiftā€¦ from May 2024.)

Correct about the XP/workout/distance mistake. XP comment snipped. Thatā€™s one thing YouTube does allow us to do.

Thanks for the clarificationā€¦I was confused when I first saw that, too.

Gonna resort back to my tried and true method of doing workouts up AdZ and then coasting down after the workout for some free XP.

I just charge both against my corporate fitness reimbursement. Seems cheap to me.

Joking aside, Iā€™ve been paying for TR and Zwift for years anyways, so the cost here isnā€™t an issue. Itā€™s just sweet to finally have integration.

In the past, Iā€™ve been able to get around the integration by running both pieces of software on my computer with one paired to my trainer and the other to my power meter, but this makes it so only one piece of software is required. Meaning, now I can just run Zwift off my iPad, which is pretty sweet.
